CINCO De Mayo, Saturday 2 May 2015
Mother Nature was truly good to us for the annual Cinco de Mayo Party. It was a gorgeous day – sunny and low 70s. And Chef Bill Hall outdid himself again, serving some delicious steak and chicken fajitas with all the trimmings, a black bean – corn salad, and Flan for desert to top the meal off. There was plenty of beer, wine, and spirits. A great batch of Bloody Marys and Margaritas kept the whistles wet and things lively. As at many past events, Kathy Carroll delivered her very wicked Margaritas, those that are so smooth you don't realize how much tequila is in it, until after a couple of sips! After that, it doesn't really matter. This year we decided to enjoy the meal “family style” and arranged a long banquet table so we all could seat together. It was another festive time had by all. Arrghhh!
