Corinthian Yacht Club Trip 29 August 2015

Six boats traveled to Corinthian Yacht Club Saturday 29 August for an overnight stay at this very hospitable Yacht Club on Smith Creek near Point Lookout Marina. Attendees included: Bill and Donna with friends Rod and Candy, Steve and Mary Ann, Phil and Carey, Tom and Terrie Knauf (new members) with their son Nickolas and daughter Michelle with her fiancee John, Dan and Elaine, and Kim and Cece Boyer (new members). Other new members, Paula Hajos and her husband were there as they keep their boat at Corinthian.  We relaxed on the docks and at the pool Saturday afternoon, then enjoyed a cookout under the trees that included superb side dishes and sweet corn brought by Bill and Donna. There might have been some conversation and an after dinner drink or two on the docks later that evening. Sunday morning after coffee on the docks new members Tom and Terrie took us on their boat to Point Lookout Marina, just a half mile away, to enjoy a breakfast buffet at the Point Lookout Marina restaurant. Tom's daughter Michelle was the Captain of the boat for the trip and she expertly handled the boat and a rowdy crew. Back by noon we decided it was time to go home.  All with smiles on our faces. During this weekend Commodore Bill presented burgees to four new memberships to the club; Tom and Terrie Knauf, Kim and Cece Boyer, and Paula Hajos were presented burgees at Corinthian.   Prior to leaving Coles Point on Saturday morning Commodore Bill presented a burgee to another new member Pete Salter. Boaters are hearing that WYA boats and they want to be a part of this!
