2013 4th of July Party Club members celebrated in many different places this holiday and conversations with them found everyone had a great time. The Club event at Linda Weaver's home on the Potomac River was just one of the venues at the Beach where fun was had. Thanks Linda for letting us use your home to enjoy a traditional hamburger and hot dog meal and watch the fireworks. Over 35 members and friends gathered at Linda's home and started the party that ended well after the fireworks were complete. |
|||
It started with Linda and Carey decorating the place. Shannon and Sue were there also to help set up and get the food ready.
In the next pictures you see some of the crowd relaxing and enjoying the "warm" afternoon.
And at right we all had to gather around and sing. Last year Linda Weaver wrote a song for us, entitled Party Like you Mean It. She printed the words and we all sat around the room singing away. We've got some pretty good singers in our group.
Later we visited and relaxed as the boats started gathering and the evening came along.
Here Dick and Anita relaxed on the sofa on this day, which is also their anniversary. Happy Anniversary Dick and Anita. And at right is part of the group that came with Mike and Vicky.
Still relaxing and enjoying the afternnon.
The traditional feast starts with the prep workers and the cooks, followed by walking the food line.
And finally finishing with the clean up. The Fields family and friends made
quick work of the cleanup.
And finally we started to watch the fireworks. |
|||
And great fireworks they were.
