2012 Change of Watch The 2012 Change of Watch, held at the Lighthouse Restaurant, is now in the history books. 35 members attended; men in their ties and the ladies wearing their best. It was a nice dress up affair with a sit down dinner and an experienced DJ giving us the music we wanted. After the meal and before the dancing, we thanked the past year's bridge and welcomed the new group that will do our bidding for 2013. Commodore Bolin also presented awards and certificates to a few of our members; whose achievements are summarized below.
To Buzz and Doris for leading our effort at winning the Grand Prize at the 2011 Stratford Hall Coaching Days To Linda Weaver for her creative composing of our WYA song To MJ Smith and Carey Bolin, the Martha Stewart Award for a grand job staging our year's events To Patty Kasold a certificate of appreciation for attending PRYCA meetings and keeping us informed of PRYCA happenings To Kathy Carroll, the Spirit Award for generously preparing the best drinks we've ever had To Bob Blunt for winning the Wet T-shirt contest at Cobb Island Summer Kick Off To Diane Burton for winning the Bead Contest at the Cobb Island summer Kick Off To Mike and Vicki Enos for winning 3rd place in the Best Decorated Boat Contest at the Summer Kick Off
Linda, Patty, and Kathy were unable to attend so we'll give them their Award or Certificate next time we see them!
The party had to finally end and over 90% of the attendees were still there and dancing when we had to shut the event down. |

MJ and Carey were the first to test the place settings that they deserved as they staged the event. Thanks to Katherine Smith who contributed her decorating skills and efforts to create a wondrous setting. |
|||
The room glowed. MJ, ever thoughtful, took the time to prepare gifts for all the attendees.
Dick and Anita in one group and Buzz, Doris and Chris on the other side of the room, all smiles!
Here are more partying types: Alex, Shannon, Sue, Buzz, Carey, and Diane.
Let the dancing begin says Gary along with Nina and Jennifer, while Harry and Lori watch from the sidelines .... but not for long.
Les and Hope dance a round or two with Jean as Ruth, her partner, was in New
Jersey volunteering with the Red Cross ... helping storm-damaged communities.
And Joe Head kept the music coming as we enjoyed. |
|||
Norma, Jean, and Peggy were sitting out one or two dances, watching from the sidelines, while Gary and Pat boogie on down!
As the music continued the dancing floor stayed full and everyone was moving
to the beat.
Lori's getting wound up now. |
|||
And ... a couple more shots from the evening.
Sunday morning finds us back at the Lighthouse, having a delicious breakfast.
Just did not want the party
to end.
The Lighthouse and staff did a wonderful job and could not have been more gracious. Our thanks, again. |
