PRYCA Float In 18-20 July What an event. We had a fantastic group of members attending and really enjoyed a weekend socializing with friends from the 20+ member clubs in PRYCA. Of course there is the CUP competition and we did compete, coming in 3rd place just like last year. And, as we discussed the issue we realized we are a club that likes to compete but are not obsessed with practicing months before as some clubs are, so we are good! See below for some pictures and comments on the weekend that included a Friday night buffet, Saturday CUP games, lunch and dinner, and the 24th Hour Band, then a Sunday morning breakfast buffet.

Arrival time for many and this is our pier of choice, with most of our boats berthed on this pier. |
||||
Our Commodore and Secretary (Bob and Norma) dressed to the Pirate theme for the weekend. Bob even started to sing with the "dummy" pirate at the registration desk.
Here they are again, laughing and enjoying. Ruth joins the PRYCA Commodore Chevy Rice and her husband, dressed and ready.
And there is more as Ruth raises a leg! Mary Jane and Janet Coleman sitting outside at the Friday night buffet. Most of us moved outside as the DJ started ... are we old or is music just getting louder?
Chris joins Janet and MJ as you see and some tired old pirate is putting the moves on Nancy.
Inside on Friday night the gang enjoys food and drink, all smiling.
Here is a surround view of the dance floor and at right two people who really need to see a dentist.
Saturday morning we started the games and here Jean and Bob compwte in the "blind" treasure hunt race. Others were just watching and relaxing. Simple fun.
Next up, Chris and MJ competed for WYA in the rescue of the damsel in distress by life ring. Chris' second throw was on mark and we faired well.
And next, we had Vice Commodore Bill Bukevicz and Jean Yeagley compete in the damsel needs a row boat rescue. We faired well and salute the two of them.
Janet was enjoying the festivities as were Bob and Norma.
But no more than the ladies from Coles Point (Elaine, Sandy, Donna, and Nancy). Mike and Bill also enjoyed some time together.
Now it's time to eat ... once again ... and eat we did. After dinner Saturday at the restaurant, we moved to the re-worked work shop for the band and entertainment.
We'll pay $10 to the first person who emails Phil Bolin at philbolin@mvapolonia.com the names of the two people whose legs you see in the first picture. At right we have Dan, Mary Ann and Elaine enjoying life.
Several ladies (Janet, MJ and Polly) enjoying the evening, while Bob and Norma take some time for themselves.
Ruth and Jean enjoy the music as George enjoys a joke and good drink.
Sunday morning we had a filling breakfast buffet and then headed to the Long Trip or home.
